The spotlight here is on our R110 RGB Controller Unit.
1. What makes this controller unit stand out?
The R110M is a radio frequency (RF) controller that offers specific color selection on the remote itself as opposed to cycling through the different color options such as on our R108M controller. It also has a hardshell receiver which makes it more durable than the LED receiver on the R108M. Think of it as an upgrade to the R108M.
2. Is there anything else that is pertinent about it?
Yes, the R110M is similar to our LED Music Controller with the 4-pin plug hardwired into the screw terminal slots. If you wish to remove the plug and directly hardwire your strips via the RGB wiring, you can do this as well. Also, there is an option to hardwire your DC wires from a 12 Volt power source (see Figure 1)
OR you can do plug and play into the recessed female DC jack on the opposite side of the screw terminal blocks (see Figure 2).
3. Since this is an RF controller, how do I sync the remote control with multiple receivers?
The process for this is actually simpler than with the R106S and R108M. All you have to do is hold down the power button on the remote for about 3 seconds and the red LED Labeled "signal" on your receiver will light up for a second. After this, the R110M remote control is synchronized with the multiple R110M receivers.
4. Why is there a black wire sticking out of the receiver?
That is an antenna for the remote control to communicate with the receiver. In short, don't remove it or you'll have a bad time.
5. Where can it be found on the website?
