What is the EZDim® Driver and Dimmer Switch?

The EZDim® is an all-in-one dimmable LED driver and dimmer switch that provides both power and dimming control for low voltage LED lighting. It combines a dimmer switch and LED driver into a single unit that fits into a standard electrical box.

What voltage does the 24V EZDim® output?

The 24V version of the EZDim® outputs 24V DC power to run 24V LED lighting. There is also a 12V version available.

How much power does the 100W, 24V EZDim model provide?

The 100W EZDim® model provides up to 100 watts (4.1 amps) of 24V DC power to LED lighting. However, it is best to use up to 80% of the driver capacity only for longevity.

What types of faceplates are included in this EZDim?

The EZDim® comes with three interchangeable faceplates in glossy white, light almond, and glossy dark brown to match different decors. A wall plate is not included.

Works with Schluter and others

This was a breeze to install, and power's three LED strips including a Schluter Niche. Best deal in town. I'm sure eventually these will come down in price significantly but as a "niche" item, they're pretty awesome. Especially if you don't want remote options. I much prefer a hardwired option.

I'v installed approximately 75 of these units and had no issues. Highly recommend. Excellent customer service.

Unique product that solves a key problem with LED install

Having the dimmer and driver in the same unit allows LED installs where they would otherwise not be possible or very difficult.

The downside of this one is it is trapped in a small box so the heat is far more problematic than if your driver was in an open attic.

In spite of this, it was still a better solutions than any other I had so I bought a second one of these and added more strip light to make up for the lower light level than I anticipated.

Simplifies the LED tape light installation

These connectors make reliable LED tape light connections and simplify the tape light installation process. If you are installing gel coated tapes, be sure to gently scrape the tape contacts untill they shine. Otherwise, the gel residue acts as an insulator. - (Hitlights Amazon Store)

Warm White (3000K) strip is NOT warm - choose 2700K (“Soft White”) for warm incandescent effect

Beware the somewhat misleading descriptors used for these lights. While the 3000K option is described as “Warm White” and 2700K as “Soft White,” in fact, 3000K to these eyes has nothing to do with warm. It’s a cool, neutral light that reads bluish-white at night. We were looking to replace old “rope lights” from maybe 15 years ago that gave off a truly warm, incandescent glow. After doing some post-installation research, I now see that if you’re looking for a warm incandescent lighting effect, go for 2700K, whatever it’s called by the vendor. Why the warmer, in fact, warmest (2700K) light is called “soft” rather than “warm” and the cooler (3000K) is called “warm” is, frankly, beyond me. Caveat emptor!
