If your driver is in a black metal enclosure, chances are it’s a Magnetic dimmable driver. These are the tried-and-true stalwarts of dimmable drivers, and as a bonus, most of them include the knockouts to keep your installation up to code. If you have this driver, not only does your dimmer switch have to be LED compatible, but it also has to be on this list.

Our electronic drivers are slim, and most of them come in a metal enclosure. Most of them are rated IP-67, too, which makes them handy for external applications. If you have this driver, your dimmer switch has to be both LED compatible and also has to be  on this list.

S-series or Slim series drivers are very slim profiled  drivers (less than an inch thick) which makes them easy to conceal.
