What size LED strip lights are compatible with these connectors?

These connectors are designed for standard 10mm wide LED strip. They will work with common 12V and 24V LED/COB strips.

Can I shorten the LED strip and re-use the connector on the cut end?

Yes, you can trim your LED strip to length and reuse the connector with no issues. Just make sure to cut the LED strip on the cut mark.

Is it normal for the connectors to get warm during use?

It is normal for the connectors to get slightly warm to the touch during operation. This is not a cause for concern.

What is the warranty period for these LED connectors?

FOR HIGH DENSITY LED TAPE CONNECTION

This connector does in fact work with HitLights high density LED tape if you cut the tape at the end of the last light. Cut the tape as far right past the cut line on the edge of the diode leaving all of the copper contact surface. The little door on this connector will close right at the diode while all contacts are touching and secure. Works perfect.

Garage under counter lights

Was my first time installing LED tape lights. I don’t have solder equipment or materials, and I didn’t like the idea of folding the tape and possibly ruining it. Went with the 6 inch connectors because I thought the 6 inch wire would also give me some flexibility. Ended up using 3 of the connectors that came in the pack. The finished product looks and works great. The only reason for not rating a 5 was because while positioning the tape (tucking up into corner) the downstream lights went out (lost connectivity). After repositioning the lights came back on and have been on ever since.

They do what you need them to do

These are most useful when using LED strips for something like a cabinet or under cabinet lighting. You just have to be patient with them and make sure you get a good connection. Once you have it though, they hold up well and do exactly what you need them to do. Provide a easy way to attach a longer wire or make a bend in the otherwise not-so-flexible led strip.

Simplifies the LED tape light installation

These connectors make reliable LED tape light connections and simplify the tape light installation process. If you are installing gel coated tapes, be sure to gently scrape the tape contacts untill they shine. Otherwise, the gel residue acts as an insulator. - (Hitlights Amazon Store)

Warm White (3000K) strip is NOT warm - choose 2700K (“Soft White”) for warm incandescent effect

Beware the somewhat misleading descriptors used for these lights. While the 3000K option is described as “Warm White” and 2700K as “Soft White,” in fact, 3000K to these eyes has nothing to do with warm. It’s a cool, neutral light that reads bluish-white at night. We were looking to replace old “rope lights” from maybe 15 years ago that gave off a truly warm, incandescent glow. After doing some post-installation research, I now see that if you’re looking for a warm incandescent lighting effect, go for 2700K, whatever it’s called by the vendor. Why the warmer, in fact, warmest (2700K) light is called “soft” rather than “warm” and the cooler (3000K) is called “warm” is, frankly, beyond me. Caveat emptor!
